One of the most important aspects of learning music is to develop a fine sense of tone, phrasing, and rhythm in relation to emotions, spirit and the intellect.

DELAYED READING
Reading is delayed in order for the student to more easily and naturally acquire first the basics of technique and musicianship

LISTENING DAILY TO REPERTOIRE CD
Students who listen daily to the CD learn with much more ease and joy. Listening helps students learn tone, rhythm, phrasing, etc. of the music they are studying or will study. Listening also develops memory.

WEEKLY INDIVIDUAL LESSONS
Individual instruction is once a week. Students will learn technique, repertoire, musicianship, etc.

GROUP LESSONS-1 A MONTH
Group lessons motivate a great deal, are fun, and provide the means for children to learn from each other.

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
Recitals, playathons, masterclasses, etc. provide opportunities for students to play in front of an audience. Performances motivate a great deal and are important in the students progress.

SUZUKI COMMUNITY
Through participation in group classes, activities with other Suzuki teachers in the area, events organized by SMAC-SD, summer institutes students will be immersed in a wonderful community that shares the love of music and the piano.

SUZUKI TRIANGLE
Teacher, student, and parent all play an important part of the journey in learning the piano.
